Kabale, UG, December 20th, 2019; TapIn Uganda was part of a one-day women’s football tournament in Kabale district to further the goal of inclusion of women into football. The Kigezi women football tournament organized by Dianah Nkamusiima hosted 10 teams from the Kigezi region with Kisoro Young crowned champions after winning 1:0 in the final against Grace villa girls.
TapIn Uganda donated 3 balls to the winners and signed more women’s football teams to participate in the TapIn Uganda Youth Football League slated to start in February 2020.
The event was attended by public figures and persons from the academia such as Mr Bagamuhunda Ronald who represented Prof. Emmanuel Mutebile, Governor of the Central Bank of Uganda. Mr Bagamuhunda Ronald recommended parents and team owners to sign up and participate in TapIn Uganda Youth Football league where players will be exposed to numerous great opportunities. He also promised to support more teams to participate and rally more people to come on board and support the youth to play football as it is a pathway to success.
